There is more than one therapeutic approach I can call on. There are no hard and fast rules, and we can creatively explore the best way to work, depending on your individual needs. Talking is essential, but sometimes it is not easy exploring difficult emotions using everyday language, so I also offer you the chance to communicate using the extraordinary potential of the arts.

What is Psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is different to counselling because it aims to help you to challenge old patterns of behaviour in your life that are making you feel stuck or dissatisfied, or perhaps examine why a relationship isn’t working. These issues are sometimes long standing, and may need to be explored in greater depth with the aim of helping you make difficult choices or changes. .
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a service that aims to offer a safe place where you can talk about specific aspects of your life that are causing you distress or unhappiness, or stopping you from moving on. We can all struggle to come to terms with life events such as loss or illness, difficulties with relationships or adjusting to change, and it’s not always easy to talk about these issues with family and friends. This is when the right counsellor, skilled in listening, can help you come to terms with your concerns and fears, and help you to restore your sense of balance.
Why the Arts?
The arts provide the chance for you to explore your feelings and to express them in tangible, non-verbal forms of communication. You don’t have to be ‘good’ at art to explore emotional experiences. I offer a non-judgemental opportunity to express yourself using sand-tray, pictures, clay, drawing, – any art medium. Deeper awareness, insight and motivation for change can be inspired in this way.
